ALERT: WN Soccer Students Compete TONIGHT to Raise Dollars for WEF!

Tonight (Sept 10), the Westerville North girls soccer team (6PM vs Watterson) and boys soccer team (8PM vs Reynoldsburg) play in a doubleheader at Jim McCann Stadium.

Thanks to 3 Warrior soccer players (Jolie Helt, Max Scholl, and Nick Tener) they’ll also be competing against each other!

The Warrior soccer programs will take part in a fundraiser for the Westerville Education Foundation (WEF) in support of schools/students all across Westerville!

Their goal is to raise $500 for WEF! Show your support for these teams and for WEF today.

Two ways you can give:

1. Attend Thursday’s games to root on the Warriors and put cash or check (“WEF”) in the girls or boys soccer bucket at the main entrance to McCann Stadium.

2. Donate online to WEF and note “girls soccer” or “boys soccer” in the ‘in honor of’ line.

The program with the most pledged donations in their honor will have their seniors pie the face of the opposing program’s seniors!

A special note on this: Funds raised support our grants program for Westerville teachers, staff and students. This program awards funds for innovative programs that help bridge the gap in classrooms and provide support for new ideas. Last spring, WEF awarded over $25k in grants and awarding grants to educators has been central to our mission since the Foundation began over 20 years ago. Our next grant cycle starts up next week (look for an announcement from us on Tuesday about it) and funds raised from our annual event make those grants possible.

In 2020, we canceled our annual event, An Artful Affair, and so when the WN Soccer program reached out to us about having this fundraiser on our behalf, it was so heartwarming and kind. A very special thank you to these student-athletes, coaches, and parents for your support.

Please support this fundraiser and of our other programs like Honor Roll (coming soon!). They make our grants possible! THANK YOU!

DONATE TO HELP THESE AMAZING STUDENTS MEET THEIR GOAL AND GO WARRIORS TONIGHT!
