grants for teachers, supporting Westerville City Schools, innovative programs
Would you like to help students, teachers and parents in Westerville City Schools as they navigate remote learning this school year? Academic Allies matches volunteers with academic subject matter expertise to students who will benefit most from their help.
Here’s how it works:
-
Teachers, school administrators and school counselors identify students who are eager to learn but struggling with remote learning.
-
An Academic Ally will be paired with one student who will benefit from your experience and knowledge.
-
You and your student meet during mutually agreed upon times for live, virtual conferencing sessions. A commitment of 1-4 hours weekly is recommended.
-
Security procedures are in place to ensure the safety and security of students and volunteers.
Academic Allies is a partnership of the Westerville Education Foundation, Neighborhood Bridges and the Westerville City Schools in collaboration with the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Join us to make a significant impact on the life of a child as they navigate this challenging time of remote learning.
